With Cad Artisans Subassembly Studio, you can now quickly and easily create an unlimited number of custom parametric subassemblies without any programming whatsoever! In mere minutes, you can now replicate what would have taken a developer days to create, allowing you to remain fully productive while creating (and modifying) custom subassemblies as and when needed.   In the 2011 release of Subassembly Studio, we have introduced our latest product called Intellassembly as part of the new Ultimate Edition. Intellassembly allows you to construct intelligent subassemblies that effectively serve as half of an assembly where the actual cross section geometry is built dynamically as the corridor model is being built. The geometry is dependent on 2D and 3D linear cad elements, such as lines and polylines, that are associated with the corridor/baseline and can be quickly and easily created in plan view (targets can also be alignments, feature lines, survey figures, etc.). Because the cross section geometry is built dynamically for each station, multiple regions along a baseline (with each referencing different assemblies) are no longer necessary. With the included toolset, you are also able to "Regionate" your corridor, which inserts special stations at critical geometry points and at special 'override' stations, all of which are automatically controlled by your target geometry.   This can potentially reduce weeks of work to mere hours. Take for example a situation where you have a section of road with 50 driveways. This can easily amount to 400+ regions with at least 4 or 5 assemblies in a traditionally built corridor in Civil 3D. With Intellassembly, the very same road model may be constructed using only ONE REGION and ONE ASSEMBLY.
